Broadcast

Broadcast submits a transaction signed in the customer's key management system to the network and returns the transaction hash. Regardless of the signing method or key management vendor, you can submit the signed raw transaction as is.

Receiving a transaction hash means the node received the transaction. It does not mean the transaction was included in a block. When you distinguish submission responses and error types accurately, you can move to the tracking stage without duplicate or missing withdrawals.

Use Cases

  • Withdrawal OpsExecute withdrawals

Submit transactions signed in the key management system to the network as they are. The submission setup stays the same even if you change key management vendors.

  • EngineeringAutomatic handling by submission error type

Classify submission errors (such as nonce too low and replacement underpriced) by type. Based on the type, you can automatically branch between rebuild, replace, and hold handling.

  • Service OpsEstablish a tracking key for withdrawals

Store the returned transaction hash together with the withdrawal request. You can then handle status lookups, customer inquiries, and reconciliation using the same hash.

Handling Submission Errors

When eth_sendRawTransaction returns an error, decide the next step based on the error message. Error messages are returned by the node client, so the wording can differ by network and client.

Error MessageMeaningAction
nonce too lowThe nonce has already been usedRetrieve the next nonce again with Nonce and rebuild the transaction
replacement transaction underpricedA transaction with the same nonce is pending, and the fee of the new transaction is below the replacement thresholdRaise the fee according to the replacement rules in Recovery and submit again
insufficient funds for gas * price + valueThe balance is insufficient to cover the gas fee and the transfer amountTop up the balance, then restart from Preflight
already knownThe same transaction has already been submittedDo not submit again; check the result with Status
